LOAN WATCH: Declan Drysdale Makes Cambridge Debut

The defender helps Cambridge to three points...

8 February 2021

Declan Drysdale made it a winning start for him at Cambridge United as he was thrown straight into the starting eleven.

Drysdale only joined Cambridge on Monday, but he was given a starting berth against Barrow and he played the full 90 minutes as his loan side picked up a 2-0 win on the road.

Drysdale's performance saw him named in the League Two Team of the Week, ensuring his start to life at U's got off to almost the perfect start.

There was also a winning debut for Gervane Kastaneer at Hearts as the Scottish Championship leaders picked up three points against Ayr.

Gervane came off of the bench after 66 minutes and helped tie up the victory and extend the lead at the top for Hearts to 12 points.

Staying in Scotland, Brandon Mason was an unused substitute as St Mirren continued their impressive form of late with another win, this time picking up three points at home to Kilmarnock.

Finally, there was no action for Marcel Hilssner this weekend as Oldham's fixture with Scunthorpe United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and Jordan Young and Jack Burroughs also saw their fixture for Gloucester City postponed.
