Fankaty Dabo is happy to be playing once again after the Sky Blues 1-1 draw with Blackburn on Saturday.
Dabo felt as if City were strong in their second half response as they battled to ensure they could pick up something from the game after Matty James levelled up the score.
He said: “It was tough and hard and I am just happy to be out there and playing again, it is frustrating we didn’t win but every point is a good point so we have got to keep picking them up and hopefully instead of getting one, we change them into threes.
“The goal we conceded wasn’t a good goal to concede, it was another one of them where we have given it away and given it to them.
“The game was there to be taken and we had to come out fighting and that is what the Gaffer has said to us and that’s what we did.”
He is aware of how the team needs to be picking up points on a regular basis and says the squad are in high spirits heading into the latter stages of the campaign.
He said: “We have been disappointed in many games, even though we picked up one (point), it is a good point and we want to change those one’s into threes.
“The Championship is relentless, we knew that coming into it, we are still adapting and are adjusting, we will learn and make sure we pick up the points we need because that is what we need to do.
“100 percent I believe in the staff and the team, we believe in each other; we always say we have been unlucky but it is what is, we want to stay up and we know we can so we can do it.”
Dabo revealed that City must try to prevent any errors that may occur and continue to remain solid as a backline.
He said: “When someone makes a mistake, it is still we conceded as a team and we have to try to rectify that mistake and if it can’t be, it is what happens.
“So, we try to be solid as a team and make sure we don’t concede goals as a team and as individuals so if everyone does their job then it won’t happen. It is what is, no one points a finger at someone and makes them feel worse than they already feel because we all make them.”
