COMMUNITY: Learn more about the SBitC Saturday Club!

23 February 2021

Sky Blues in the Community Saturday Club has been running now for over 20 years.

It is a fun based football session which consists of 30-minute skills and training followed by a 30-minute controlled football game at the end.

It is aimed as a fun introduction into football and is open to boys and girls, from Reception through to school Year 6 of all ability levels.

Our main aim is to make sure we help create an environment where players feel relaxed and enjoy attending, without any pressure or worries about making mistakes.

It also helps that we have unbelievable facilities for these sessions, based in the indoor 3G dome at the Alan Higgs Sports Centre which is especially good when the poorer weather comes.

Each session we have ‘Player of the week’ awards as well as competition weeks where medals and trophies can be won.

As players gain confidence and progress, we have excellent routes for them to help continue their football journey. They have the option to join our Player Development Centre’s which are more advanced with technical training. If they are looking for a team to start playing competitive games, they can either join our PDC teams or Coventry City Girls (Our partner football club) for the Girls.

Our Saturday Club sessions are £5.00 per week to attend or you can block book 5 sessions for just £20.00.

When spectators are allowed back to stadiums, everyone who block books will also receive a voucher to attend a CCFC game which will hopefully help generate more Sky Blues fans coming through!!
