This campaign is Eltringham's 13th season as a referee in the Football League, with the clash with Gary Rowett’s men being the second time he has officiated City this season after the 3-0 home win over Peterborough United in September.

The Posh match was the seventh time Eltringham has refereed a Sky Blues match, with his first being a 2-0 defeat at Barnsley in October 2011, but his first at the CBS Arena was a 2-0 victory over Portsmouth in March 2012.

With Eltringham in the middle, City have a record of:

Wins – 4

Draws – 1

Defeats – 2

This season so far, Eltringham has awarded 69 yellow cards and two red cards in the 17 games he has officiated across the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Carabao Cup.

Eltringham will be assisted by Andrew Dallison and Michael George whilst James Bell will perform the role as fourth official.
