The EFL have confirmed that Joshua Smith will oversee the Sky Blues’ match with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Mark Robins’ side take on the Terriers in the Sky Bet Championship at the John Smith’s Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30pm.
This year will mark Smith's third season as a referee in the Football League, but this weekend will be the first time that he has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues, although Smith has been fourth official on three occasions this term.
This season so far, Smith has awarded 71 yellow cards and two red cards in the 20 games he has officiated across the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One, Sky Bet League Two and Carabao Cup.
Smith will be assisted by Matthew Jones and Akil Howson whilst James Bell will act as the fourth official.
