MISSING MEN: Sky Blues 3-1 Millwall - 1990

Can you remember the missing men from a memorable win against the Lions…

Ahead of City’s clash with Gary Rowett’s Millwall at the Coventry Building Society Arena in the Sky Bet Championship this Wednesday, we take a trip down memory lane and remember a famous victory against our opponents…

This week’s edition takes us back to February 1990 when the Sky Blues welcomed Bob Pearson’s side to Highfield Road, with the visitors hoping to do the double over City in Pearson’s first game in charge.

Republic of Ireland striker Tony Cascarino opened the scoring for the South London side in the fifth minute with a header.

However less than ten minutes later the Sky Blues drew level through a tricky winger before City’s young striker turned the game on it’s head in the 23rd minute to give the home side the lead.

The same striker then found the net five minutes into the second half which won the Sky Blues the points and their second successive home win over London opposition, following on from the 3-2 win over Chelsea earlier in the month, to put John Sillett’s men seventh in the table!

However, what we want to know is how well do you remember the Sky Blues side from that day, can you name the starting eleven and the substitutes?
