The EFL have confirmed that David Webb will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Reading on Saturday.
Mark Robins’ side take on The Royals in the Sky Bet Championship at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00pm.
It will be the first time that Webb has taken charge of a game involving the Sky Blues this season, with the Lancashire born official's most recent City match coming last campaign in our defeat to AFC Bournemouth in April at the Vitality Stadium.
This year will mark Webb's 14th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated 15 Sky Blues fixtures, with his most memorable being the 3-1 victory over Exeter City in the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium in May 2018.
With Webb in the middle, City have a record of:
Wins - 7
Draws - 3
Defeats - 5
This season so far, Webb has awarded 16 yellow cards in the three games he has officiated across the Sky Bet Championship and Sky Bet League One.
Webb will be assisted by Daniel Leach and Andrew Dallison whilst Anthony Backhouse will act as the fourth official.
