LOAN WATCH: Billson and Cashman make EFL debut

Sky Blues duo, Tom Billson and Danny Cashman both made their Football League debuts this weekend in League Two.

However, it was bitter sweet for Billson, as despite starting the game for Scunthorpe United against Swindon Town, the 'keeper was forced off injured at half-time.

The score was level at 0-0 when Billson was withdrawn from action and after his departure, Scunthorpe would concede three times in the second half, going down 3-1 at Glanford Park.

Also in Sky Bet League Two, Danny Cashman came off the bench for Rochdale in an eventful opening day of the season at the EnviroVent Stadium with three goals in the opening 15 minutes.

Cashman’s new side levelled just after the break but despite the striker’s introduction for the final 20 minutes it would be Harrogate that netted in injury time to win 3-2.

Finally, north of the border Jack Burroughs made his bow for Ross County in a 3-0 defeat at Easter Road to Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.

Burroughs replaced Harry Paton at half time with the damage already done and ensured Malky Mackay’s side kept a clean sheet in the second half.
