LOAN WATCH: Sky Blues Loanee Update

City currently have four players out on loan...

31 August 2021

We take a look at how those players currently away from Coventry City have got on around the country this weekend.

Starting on Friday night in Sky Bet League Two, Danny Cashman came off the bench for Rochdale, with the forward playing the final 25 minutes, as the Dale earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Colchester United at Spotland to leave them a point off the play offs.

Also in Sky Bet League Two, Scunthorpe United won their first match of the season on Saturday, beating Tranmere Rovers 1-0, thanks to a fourth minute penalty by Myles Hippolyte.

However, Sky Blues loanee Tom Billson did not feature as he remains out injured with a knee injury, picked up on the opening day.

Meanwhile Will Bapaga’s Grimsby Town kicked off their delayed start to the National League with a 1-0 victory at Blundell Park over Weymouth with John McAtee’s goal proving the difference.

Although Bapaga was an unused substitute, he will be hoping to feature tonight as the Mariners back in action tonight as they travel to Stockport County.

Finally, north of the border Jack Burroughs was not involved as Ross County claimed a point in a 1-1 at Aberdeen. The visitors took the lead through Regan Charles-Cook, brother of former Sky Blue Reice, but were pegged back by the Dons with two minutes remaining as Christian Ramirez denied Malky Mackay’s team their first league win of the season.
