The EFL have confirmed that Lee Mason will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Barnsley this weekend.

Mark Robins side take on Barnsley in Sky Bet Championship action at St Andrew's with kick-off scheduled for 3pm this weekend.

It will be the first time that Mason has took charge of a game involving the Sky Blues since the time City played Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Championship fixture in 2006.

This year will mark Lee 19th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated six Sky Blues fixtures.

With Mason in the middle, City have a record of:

Wins - 3
Draws - 1
Defeats - 2

So far this season, Mason awarded 37 yellow cards and two red cards across 19 fixtures in the Premier League, Championship, League Two, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Mason will be assisted by Simon Long and Derek Eaton whilst Jeremy Simpson will act as the fourth official.
