Sales of Coventry City’s Ricoh Return Memberships and Season Tickets have surpassed the figures from the Sky Blues’ last season at the Ricoh Arena – and it’s only April!
City’s sales are near to the 7,000 mark, with still around four months until the Sky Blues begin life back in Coventry at the Ricoh Arena.
When Mark Robins’ side were last playing in Coventry, a figure of 6,870 was reached – with this total including all types of Season Tickets, Half Season Tickets and Premium Memberships.
The Ricoh Return Membership and Season Ticket is on General Sale now and with the capacity of the Membership capped at 8,000, fans are encouraged to buy as soon as possible to secure their place for the 2021/22 campaign. Ricoh Return Memberships are on sale until 31st May, or until the capacity is reached.
The current sales figure means the Sky Blues already have their highest number of Season Tickets since 10 years ago, when they had 8,235 in the 2011-12 campaign. Following the move to the Ricoh Arena, from 2005 to 2011 Season Ticket sales were regularly between 9,500 and 10,000 and the Sky Blues will be hoping for similar numbers once social distancing allows capacity to reach those levels.
The Ricoh Return Membership are limited to 8000 – this is 25% of the Ricoh Arena capacity. While the Prime Minister previously indicated all COVID restrictions would end on 21st June in his roadmap, further conversations with the EFL, following their dialogue with Government, have indicated that this may not be the case. Therefore, the Club will take a cautious approach and sell to this limit until the situation is made clearer by the Prime Minister and the Government.

Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:
“We are delighted to have achieved this sales figure so early and to have already passed the total amount of all Season Tickets we had last time at the Ricoh Arena.
“We know that circumstances are difficult for many people, and there is still some uncertainty, and we really appreciate the support of everyone who has purchased so far.
“There are now less than 1000 Ricoh Return Memberships available, so we’d encourage fans to buy as soon as possible to make sure they are inside this 8000 capacity.
“2018/19 seats are still being reserved, but to ensure you are in this Membership and within this capacity you still need to buy.”
Boddy added:
“Our next target is to sell out our 8000 Memberships and then to reach the levels of sales that were seen when the Club first moved to the Ricoh Arena.
“This is dependent upon the Government’s roadmap and the easing of restrictions allowing for this capacity, but it would be fantastic to see us reach those figures, would help create a great atmosphere and backing for the team, and would be a real signal of intent for the Club and its fans as we return to Coventry.”
