LOAN WATCH: Sky Blues Loanee Update

Here's how those players away from City got on...

26 April 2021

It was a disappointing afternoon for Declan Drysdale and Cambridge United, as they missed the chance to secure their promotion to League One.

A win would’ve seen Cambridge promoted to the third tier of English football, but they were dealt a blow when Stevenage came away from the Abbey Stadium with a 1-0 win.

However, Drysdale and his loan side will get another bite at the cherry when they face Harrogate on Friday, knowing a win will once again see them promoted.

Sticking in League Two and it was another defeat for Oldham Athletic and for Marcel Hilssner, who started the game on the bench.

Hilssner was introduced into the game against Grimsby after 57 minutes, but he couldn’t help the Latics slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Boundary Park.

Elsewhere, Brandon Mason and Jordon Thompson were unused substitutes as St Mirren beat Ross County 3-1 on Wednesday night and Solihull Moors beat Yeovil Town 5-1.

Finally, Gervane Kastaneer wasn’t in the matchday squad as Hearts were presented with their Scottish Championship, after securing their promotion back to the Premiership.
