Coventry City have signed midfielder Ben Sheaf on loan from Arsenal!
The 22-year-old joins the Sky Blues from the Premier League side until the end of the 2020/21 season, subject to EFL, Premier League and FA approval.
The deal includes the option for the Sky Blues to sign Ben on a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
After joining from West Ham and signing his first professional deal in 2015, Ben made his debut for Arsenal in October 2017, appearing in the Gunners Europa League victory at Red Star Belgrade
6 foot 1 defensive midfielder Sheaf spent the 2019/20 campaign at Doncaster Rovers where he made 38 appearances and scored 1 goal, and had a previous loan spell at Stevenage.
Manager Mark Robins said:
“We’re very pleased to announce Ben’s arrival at the Club.
“He’s a player with great pedigree and ability, who will really add to our squad for the Championship season ahead.
“He’s got a good physical presence and a footballing brain as well, and will be a real asset for us during the campaign.
“We thank Arsenal for agreeing to loan Ben to us, and look forward to working with him.”
Ben will wear squad number 14.
