REPORT: Sky Blues Under 23s beat Crewe 3-2 in thrilling comeback

30 September 2020

Coventry City Under 23s came from two goals behind to win 3-2 at Crewe Alexandra this afternoon.

David Bremang netted twice before Blaine Rowe scored a late winner to earn the three points for Luke Tisdale's side.

Wesley Jobello made his first appearance for nearly 12 months, completing 45 minutes, while Dan Bartlett continued his recovery from injury too.

Daniel Powell opened the scoring for Crewe after half an hour of play, and that was enough to take the lead at half-time for the home side.

Bremang was introduced for Jobello at half-time but an hour into the contest Crewe doubled their advantage when Connor Salisbury scored from close range.

Ten minutes later though City opened their scoring through striker David Bremang, and he added to his tally on the 69th minute when he netted again to bring the scores level.

With 90 minutes on the clock, it was full-back Blaine Rowe who scored the decisive goal and gave the Sky Blues the victory.
