OFFICIALS: Referee Watch Versus MK Dons

Trevor Kettle will be the man in the middle...

3 September 2020

The EFL have confirmed that Trevor Kettle will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues first competitive clash back since March.

Mark Robins side will take on Milton Keynes Dons in the Carabao Cup First Round at Stadium MK, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.

Kettle will take charge of the fixture, as he did the last competitive match the Sky Blues played in at Portman Road against Ipswich Town before the suspension of football in the UK.

On that day the Sky Blues secured a 1-0 victory thanks to Matty Godden's strike in the first half, a result which would be City's last until this weekend.

This year will mark Kettle's 17th season as a referee in the Football League and over that time period he has officiated 17 Sky Blues fixtures.

With Kettle in the middle, City have a record of:

Wins - 8
Draws - 3
Defeats - 6

Last season Kettle awarded 105 yellow cards and 9 red cards across 28 fixtures in the Carabao Cup, FA Cup, EFL Trophy, League One and League Two.
