The EFL have confirmed that Josh Smith will be the man in the middle of the Sky Blues clash with Barnsley this weekend.
Mark Robins side take on Barnsley in Sky Bet Championship action at Oakwell this Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.
It will be the first time ever that Smith has taken charge of a Sky Blues fixture, following his rise into the Football League back in 2019.
This fixture will be Josh’s first in the Championship, having already taken charge of two EFL Cup fixtures and one League One fixture this season.
Last season Smith awarded 81 yellow cards and six red cards across 26 fixtures in the FA Cup, League One, League Two and EFL Trophy.
Josh will be assisted by Jonathan Hunt and Matthew McGrath, whilst Stephen Martin will act as the fourth official.
