NEWS: Coventry City confirm Jodi Jones has suffered an ACL injury in training

9 September 2020

Coventry City can confirm that winger Jodi Jones has suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in training.

This injury is to his right knee, not the left knee which has been injured previously, and the injury occurred during a training session at Ryton last Friday.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“Jodi was injured in our training session last Friday. He was sent for a scan, which showed a rupture to his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his right knee – this is not the same knee Jodi has injured previously.

“Jodi will be operated on by the best surgeon in Europe in the coming weeks, once the injury has settled down.

“We are all really disappointed for Jodi. He has shown his mental and physical strength to recover from injury previously, and we will support him again over the coming days and weeks and through his rehabilitation programme.”

Everyone at Coventry City wishes Jodi all the best on his road to recovery.
