Coventry City are delighted to announce that defender Fankaty Dabo has signed a new contract with the Club!
The 24-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Sky Blues until 2023, with City having the option to extend the agreement for a further year too.
Fankaty joined Coventry City in the Summer of 2019 from Chelsea, and made a total of 41 appearances last season as the side won the League One title and promotion to the Championship.
He excelled in his first season with his defensive and attacking play earning plaudits, and he was voted the Player of the Season by the Sky Blues supporters.
After missing the start of pre-season, Dabo made his first league appearance last week as the Sky Blues beat Queens Park Rangers 3-2.
Manager Mark Robins said:
“I am delighted that Fanky has agreed a new contract with the Club.
“He is an influential player for us both on and off the pitch, he impressed hugely in his first season with us and is also a popular player with our supporters.
“I know that everyone will be delighted at the news that Fanky has committed his future to Coventry City.”
