When Will Green was diagnosed with Blood Cancer just after his 29th birthday, the Sky Blues fan resolved to fight the disease and raise important funds for Cancer Research too.
Will had his first Chemotherapy in August and due to Coronavirus he can’t leave the house until Christmas at the very earliest when the course of treatment is done.
During this month he is attempting Cancer Research’s ’60 miles September’ while at home on his treadmill, to help the battle against Cancer.

Will explained:
“I was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma which came as a real surprise as I didn't have symptoms apart from a being tired occasionally, but who wouldn't with a 9 month old baby!
“I had my first chemotherapy session on 21st August. I am having chemotherapy called ABVD which is very strong and can cause lots of different side effects, and I have 6 cycles to do. With my chemotherapy the Doctors have told me I can't go outside or even have a window open in the house because of catching fungal infections so the next 6 months is going to be really fun!
“Before my chemo started I bought a treadmill to keep myself fit whilst I am having the chemo. I came across the 60-mile run in September fundraiser for Cancer Research and thought I could give it a good go and see if I can set myself a goal of finishing it whilst having chemotherapy. My goal is to try and do 2 miles a day but I am sure there will be days where I will not be up to it so will have to make it up on days I feel fit enough to do it.
Will added:
“I am still in shock about what is happening to me and if I can help people in the future not go through what I have to go through then what more could you want!”
