Sky Blues in the Community are now recruiting for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join us for our Autumn programme to work with Young people taking part in Coventry.
National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 16 -17 year olds, helping young people build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.
The NCS Team leaders and Assistant Team leaders are responsible for supporting with the delivery of all phases of the NCS programme, motivating participants and where required to deliver elements of the programme in conjunction with the NCS Manager/Wave Lead.
This role will be suitable for individuals who have experience working with young people and want to develop themselves and others in a fun and challenging environment. The ideal candidate would be desired:
- To have experience of working with teenagers or adults in a supervisory role.
- Must be able to demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and use own initiative and common sense.
- To have previous experience working on NCS programmes.
NCS is an experience of a lifetime that has the potential to change a young person’s outlook and future. As a Team Leader and Assistant Team leader, you will therefore get the chance to inspire the youth of today by acting as a positive role model.
This is a highly demanding but rewarding role suitable for a dynamic and confident person with experience working with groups of young people, being able to both motivate them and command their respect.
