CONTRACT: Michael Rose agrees new contract with Coventry City!

1 October 2020

Coventry City are delighted to announce that defender Michael Rose has signed a new contract with the Club!

The 24-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Sky Blues until 2023.
The Scottish central defender made the move to City in July 2019 from Ayr United, having appeared just over 100 times in Scottish football, for Aberdeen, Forfar and Ayr.

A key component of the Sky Blues defence during the 2019-20 campaign, Rose appeared 40 times in all competitions and found the net twice during a season when Mark Robins' side won the Sky Bet League One title and with it promotion to the Championship.

After missing the start of pre-season this campaign recovering from injury, Rose has recently made his return to the Sky Blues squad in the Championship.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“I’m delighted that Michael has agreed a new contract.

"He was an integral and consistent part of the defence last season as we were promoted to the Championship, he is an outstanding talent and there is still more to come from him

"We look forward to Michael continuing his progress with us.”
