Midfielder Ryan Howley has signed his first professional contract with Coventry City!
Midfielder Ryan turned 17 on Monday and celebrated by putting pen-to-paper on his first deal with the Sky Blues.
Nuneaton-born Howley has been at the Coventry City Academy since the age of 6, signing with the Academy at age of 8 and working his way through the age groups to reach this point now.
Ryan will now continue his development with the Sky Blues Under 18s side, with the aim of breaking into Luke Tisdale’s Under 23s squad.
Academy Manager Dan Bolas said:
“We’re delighted that Ryan has signed his first professional contract with the Club now he has turned 17.
“Ryan has come through the Academy system from its youngest age up to its eldest, and it is a massive credit to Ryan and the hard work that he has put in over the last ten years.
“Now he has his first professional contract, Ryan needs to continue his development and keep working hard to fulfil his ambitions and potential.”
“Ryan signing his contract is also a great moment for all of the coaches and Academy staff past and present who have played a role in his development on and off the field and is testament to their hard work too, as well as the commitment shown by Ryan and his family.”
