NEWS: Adam Bridgeford appointed Academy Head of Coaching

4 March 2020

Coventry City have appointed Adam Bridgeford as the new Academy Head of Coaching.

Bridgeford starts his role at the Sky Blues Academy, based at the Alan Higgs Centre, with immediate effect.

Adam joins City from Cambridge United where he was Head of Coaching, having previously been Lead Foundation Coach at United.

In his role Adam will be responsible for leading the Academy’s coaching function – including overseeing the Academy coaching programme for all age groups from U9s to Under 18s, and working closely with coaches to assist their development and that of the players in the Academy too.

Dan Bolas, Academy Manager at Coventry City, said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome Adam to the Academy.

“Adam impressed us with his track record and his positive attitude towards continuing to progress the Academy as a whole, the coaching that we provide to our young footballers and the development of the coaches in the Academy.

“We look forward to working with him in a very important role in the Academy set-up.”
