Next up in our look back at the 2019/20 season so far, we reflect on the month of October, which saw mixed fortunes for the Sky Blues.
After starting the League One season unbeaten in their opening ten fixtures, City were finally beaten at the hands of Rotherham United at the New York Stadium, suffering a 4-0 loss.
Next up was the return of the Leasing.com Trophy and it was yet another 0-0 draw for the Sky Blues in the competition, in which there was a first start for young star Will Bapaga, as City lost out on a bonus point on penalties.
It would be a penalty which the Sky Blues would be left to rue next time out, on the road, as they drew 0-0 against MK Dons, with Jordy Hiwula missing from the spot, in what was a memorable moment for Jordan Shipley, who captained his boyhood club.
Sandwiched in between those two 0-0 draws was a first defeat at St Andrew's for City, as Tranmere Rovers performed a snatch and grab to come away with a 1-0 win.
Mark Robins side would get back to winning ways when they returned to St Andrew's however, as they came from behind to beat Fleetwood Town 2-1.
Joey Barton's side had took the lead through Paddy Madden, but goals from Amadou Bakayoko and Zain Westbrooke would complete the turnaround for the Sky Blues.
In the final fixture of the month, City welcomed back Max Biamou, who made his first league start in over 12 months after returning from an ACL injury.
It would almost be the dream return for Biamou, as after Bakayoko had put City in front and Marcus Maddison had equalised from the spot, Max scored a sensational overhead kick in the final ten minutes to make it 2-1.
However, in the 5th minute of stoppage time, Mo Eisa levelled for the Posh to snatch away all three points from the Sky Blues.
