Coventry City have announced details of a big, live streamed Promotion Party!
The Sky Blues were awarded the League One title on Tuesday, and with it a place back in the Championship for the first time since 2012.
We are now announcing details of a live streamed online Promotion Party that fans and players will be able to join in with remotely, on Saturday 20th June.
Starting at 7pm, it will be streamed live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube – meaning Sky Blues fans can celebrate together while adhering to social distancing and mass gathering regulations.
We urge fans not to congregate in groups greater than six or arrange mass gatherings, either in the coming days or on the night, and urge them to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
The live streamed Party will feature the best action from the season, Manager and player interviews and the End of Season Awards, plus many more highlights on the night to be revealed soon!
Hosted by Free Radio presenter and CCFC matchday announcer John Dalziel and raising money for the NHS and Free Radio’s Cash for Kids charity, the interactive live event will culminate in a set by Coventry-born Ministry of Sound DJ Paul Morrell.
Chief Executive Dave Boddy said:
“We’re delighted to announce details of this live, online Promotion Party on Saturday 20th June.
“This will be a very different event to what we may have done in different circumstances, but we’re planning on a special streamed event that will bring Coventry City fans together wherever they may be.
“As much as we know fans would prefer a mass gathering and celebration, it is important that we are responsible and all stick to the Government’s social distancing guidelines.
“There will be lots to keep fans entertained throughout the night and we’re hoping it will be a very memorable night for everyone - so put the champagne on ice, the Sky Blue Army beers in fridge and get the barbecue ready for the online Promotion Party!”
