NEWS: Coventry City to wear 2019/20 Home kit against Rangers this Saturday

24 July 2020

Coventry City will wear the 2019/20 home kit this Saturday when they play Rangers in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

The hugely popular kit will get another run out on Saturday 25th July, as the Sky Blues begin their pre-season fixture schedule ahead of the 2020/21 Championship season.

The 2020/21 kit will be unveiled at a later date within the next month but with the 2020/21 pre-season fixture schedule set to continue, it is expected that the 2019/20 home kit will get further appearances.

Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said:

“The last time it was worn was the win over Sunderland way back on 1st March, so it will be great to see it being worn again.

“It was always a popular kit ever since we unveiled it, and its place in history and the hearts of fans is truly secured following our League One title win and promotion.

“Normally we unveil the new kits at an event with just less than a month to go until the season kicks-off, so while I understand the eagerness to see new kits as soon as possible, we are well ahead of schedule considering when the season is expected to begin this year.

“The home and away kits for the 2020/21 campaign will be unveiled within the next month, and we hope to have details on how and when this will be done shortly.”
