The midfielder delighted to be back with Sky Blues...

Callum O’Hare expressed his delight upon returning back to Coventry City, after signing a three-year-deal.

The 22-year-old departed Aston Villa following the expiry of his contract and sealed a return to the Sky Blues, where he spent the 2019/20 League One campaign.

Speaking upon his return, O’Hare revealed why he decided to make the return to Mark Robins side.

He said: “I’ve finally got it all done and I’m buzzing to get back.

“Everyone saw last season what we did and that’s why I wanted to come back. The squad is great, the coaching staff are great and so are the fans and I really enjoyed everything about the football club last year so I’m glad to be back.

“Games are what everyone needs and playing a full season in men’s football, I now want to kick on and build on that and that’s what I’ve come here to do.”

Last season for the Sky Blues, O’Hare made 40 appearances, scoring four goals, proving to be an essential asset in City’s return to the Championship.

“As soon as I came here last season, I felt at home straight away.

“The lads were all brilliant and so were the coaching staff and fans, so it was really easy for me to settle in.

“It was a great campaign for everyone, and we won the league so it couldn’t have gone much better.

“Now we’re heading for the Championship and that is proper football and I’m looking forward to playing and I can’t wait for the season to start.”

Callum stole the headlines following the Sky Blues announcement as League One champions, with a video which took social media by storm.

The midfielder donned a Sky Blues wig, whilst blasting the song ‘Pump it Up’ out of his speaker in the middle of the street.

On the video he said: “I don’t know what was going on, I saw the announcement that we had been promoted and won the league and I just lost my head and got excited.

“But social media has been going off the last few weeks, I’ve had to turn my notifications off and just try and focus on doing some work at the park and stuff and just get on with it.”
