NEWS: Coventry City comment regarding cash turnstiles queues on Tuesday night

26 February 2020

Following queues at cash turnstiles immediately prior to last night’s game against Rotherham United, Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy has given the Club’s reaction:

"We are thankful for the fantastic walk up on Tuesday night, which was great to see, and the support for the team and atmosphere generated at the game against Rotherham.

"Over 1900 fans in total paid on cash turnstiles on Tuesday night - which is unprecedented this season, and for almost all games in previous seasons.

"We thank fans for their patience who were queueing and apologise for the inconvenience.

"There were a large number who began queueing in the final 15 minutes before kick off and while we appreciate the circumstances of different people, especially midweek, and fans needing to travel further this season, we would urge supporters where possible to arrive earlier for matches.

"We will be addressing the operational issues Tuesday night has brought up for games where there is a similar walk up."
