LOAN WATCH: Josh Eccles Shines For Gillingham

The midfielder helps the Gills to 3 points...

Sky Blues midfielder Josh Eccles put in a stellar performance to help Gillingham pick up three points away at Rochdale in League One action.

Eccles started the game and played for 92 minutes, before coming off in injury time.

The 20-year-old started alongside fellow youngster Scott Robertson in the middle, forming a strong partnership to help push Steve Evans side up into 13th, six points off the play-off places.

Defender Declan Drysdale also featured in the game, coming off of the bench in the 89th minute to help sure up the win.

Elsewhere, in the Scottish Premiership and St Mirren have continued their rich vain of form with another win, this time against St Johnstone.

After a win against Rangers midweek, Brandon Mason and St Mirren returned to league action, as they looked to climb the SPL.

Mason came off of the bench in the 74th minute where St Mirren trailed 2-1, but the left-back helped play his part as they turned things around to secure three points and move up to 8th.
