Max Biamou was on the scoresheet and was pleased to pick up three points as the Sky Blues recorded a 3-1 victory against Rotherham at St Andrews.

The Sky Blues were rampant early on and took the lead through Biamou, who found the back of the net after just five minutes, latching on to a superb knock down by Tyler Walker.

City have now gone five matches without defeat and Biamou expressed the importance of keeping the momentum going, following the win against Rotherham.

He said: “It is a great victory against a good team.

“I was able to score a goal and I’m happy with that, but the most important thing is we take the win, we all know it is a tough season for us and we have to take every point.

“This is the type of team we have to beat because they are close to us, and I’m happy to have another game Tuesday.”

Biamou believes he has grown as a player through the help of manager Mark Robins to progress his overall game, and he is determined to help contribute on the goals front.

“I think I have improved my football since I have come to Coventry to be honest, to learn from the Gaffer that’s the best thing I have had in my life to so I am enjoying every moment at Coventry.

“Everyone knows how hard pre-season was for me because I did not play a lot of games and as a striker it is hard to get game time at the moment, so I just hope to score goals and help the team win some games.

“Every time, even if I don’t score, I just try to do the best for the team, at this stage of the season we need to win as many games as we can and get as many points as possible.”

Robins selected in form Walker and Biamou to lead the line, the second time the pairing have worked together up top this season.

Biamou explained he has a good relationship with Walker, as the pair shone during the game with good link up play, where Walker set up the French striker for the opening goal.

He said: “I tried to create some links with him and it is hard because the situation with Covid and we haven’t got a lot of training sessions and are playing twice a week, we are starting to get good links and that is good for our confidence.

“That is why we are watching some clips together to see what we can do; I know how he is playing and try to play how he wants to get the best of him, so I try to manage my game for him to be good too.”
