TRANSFER: Tyler Walker joins Coventry City!

Walker joins the Sky Blues...

28 August 2020

Coventry City are delighted to announce the transfer of striker Tyler Walker from Nottingham Forest to the Sky Blues for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL and FA approval.

The 23-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Club.

Walker has spent the majority of the last two season enjoying prolific loan spells away from the City Ground – netting 26 goals in 52 games at Mansfield in 2018/19, earning a place in the League Two team of the year, and scoring 16 goals in 34 games last season at Lincoln City.

An England Under 20 international, Walker made his debut for hometown side Forest in March 2015 and would go on to make 45 appearances and score 7 goals for the Reds, including last season in their win over Leeds United.

The Sky Blues have held off interest from a number of clubs to seal the signing of the pacy and athletic 6 foot 1" forward.

Manager Mark Robins said:

“We’re delighted to announce the signing of Tyler.

“He is a terrific talent, who we have been interested in for the last couple of years.

“As his goalscoring record shows, he’s a striker with great ability who really tests and stretches defences and is a fantastic signing for the Club.

“We’re really pleased to get this significant transfer completed, and are looking forward to working with him.”
