As well as the fixture release day, the EFL have also confirmed some of the key cup competition dates.
The Sky Blues will take on Bristol City on the opening day of the 2020/21 Championship season it was revealed today.
However, City will get the season underway competitively, the week before against MK Dons at Stadium:MK.
So, what other dates should supporters look out for during the season?
- The First Round of the Carabao Cup will be played against MK Dons on the weekend of the 5/6th of September.
- The Sky Bet Championship season gets underway on September 12 for the Sky Blues against Bristol City.
- The Emirates FA Cup First Round will be scheduled for the weekend of the 7th of November 2020.
- The Sky Blues will enter the FA Cup at the third round stage, which is scheduled for the weekend of January 9th 2021.
- The Carabao Cup final will take place on Sunday February 28th.
- The final day of the season looks set to take place on the 8th of May 2021, with City taking on Millwall.
- The FA Cup final is scheduled for Saturday May 15th.
- The Championship play-off final will be held at Wembley and looks set to take place on the 29th of May 2021.
