Coventry City are delighted to announce Jingltree as the Club’s new back of shirt sponsor!
City have put pen-to-paper on a two-year agreement with the online Christmas Tree retail company, which will see their logo adorn the back of the Sky Blues’ shirts in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
Jingltree are an online Christmas Tree retail company with three unique selling points:
- They provide a hassle-free service, with trees delivered to the customers' door
- They are eco-friendly - trees are collected after Christmas and recycled
- They support the local economy by growing, harvesting and retailing their product within the UK and Ireland.
Jingltree is a national company, however it has a connection with the Sky Blues both logistically and emotionally; having their main distribution centre within a few miles of Coventry and the Company Director being born and raised in Stretton on Dunsmore and a lifelong Coventry City supporter.
In 1956 whilst visiting his sweetheart in Coventry, his father was drawn to the lights and sounds of Highfield Road. Becoming the first of 4 generations of Coventry City supporters, he could never have dreamt when he took his 5 year old son to his first game back in 1971, that nearly 50 years on that very same little boy would be sponsoring his beloved Football Club.
Dave Boddy, Chief Executive at Coventry City, said: “We’re delighted to announce Jingltree as our back of shirt sponsors for the next two seasons.
“They are a great company for us to be in partnership with, especially with their local connections to the Football Club and their environmentally conscious approach to their business.
“We thank them for their support of the Club and the team, and we look forward to working with them.”
A spokesman for Jingltree said: “We are very pleased to be sponsoring Coventry City Football Club, especially given the logistical and emotional ties we have with our local Football Club and the great excitement following the League One title win and promotion to Championship.
“Jingltree’s ethos relates to a book that was written back in the 1960’s called ‘The Sky Blue Revolution’ which tells how Jimmy Hill took Coventry City to the very top; a team and a family of loyal supporters who continue to aim high and with the belief of success - this is an ethos the company shares and lives by, and we are excited to be a part of Mark Robins and Coventry City’s newfound revolution this coming season.”
There will be further details regarding Coventry City’s home and away kits for the 2020/21 season very soon!
