NEWS: Mark Robins and Adi Viveash volunteer wage deferrals

28 April 2020

Mark Robins and Adi Viveash have both volunteered to take a 25% wage deferral for the foreseeable future.

The Sky Blues Manager and Assistant Manager offered to take the wage deferral in light of the situation that the Club and the football world is in due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Sky Blues players have separately unanimously agreed a 25% wage deferral.

Coventry City Chief Executive Dave Boddy has thanked the Sky Blues squad, Manager Mark Robins and Assistant Adi Viveash after the wage deferrals were volunteered and agreed.

“We are grateful for the actions of the players in volunteering to take a wage deferral, which will help to ensure the Football Club overcomes the difficulties that all Clubs are facing at this unprecedented time.

“It goes to show the passion that this squad has for this Club to be successful and the unity that there is among the players.

“I would also like to thank Manager Mark Robins and Assistant Manager Adi Viveash, who have both also volunteered to take a 25% wage deferral, showing again how united the Club is during this testing period for football and the country as a whole.

“We all continue to look forward to being able to resume our League One campaign and the final 10 scheduled games when safe to do so, and until that happens we all hope that all our supporters stay safe.”
