MY CCFC XI: Sky Blues fan David Chilton picks his best side!

16 April 2020

David Chilton is the next Coventry City fan to pick the best XI that he has seen play.

Several fans have already chosen their best side, based on players that they have seen play, and 30-year-old David is next up.

David is a Geography Teacher from Banbury, and says that even when he's on field trips he will still be wearing something Sky Blue!

Now David tells us his CCFC XI, lining up in a 4-4-2 formation...

Goalkeeper - Kieron Westwood

Consistent performances throughout his time with City and saved the day on so many occasions!

Right-Back - Richard Shaw

City Legend who I would always back to win a 50/50. Decent shot on him too!

Centre-Back - Mo Konjic

Loved the club and was ready to put everything on the line for the badge week in, week out!

Centre-Back - Ben Turner

Man mountain was both excellent at set pieces and defensively.

Left-Back - Danny Fox

Superb left foot delivery and chipped in with vital goals on several occasions.

Central Midfield - Michael Doyle

Modern day club legend who will one day be manager for sure!

Central Midfield -Youssef Safri

Perfectly executed tackles time and time against. Helped retain possession on many occasions.

Right Midfield - Carl Baker

Had everything in his locker and would cause fullbacks trouble all day long.

Left Midfield - Gary McSheffrey

Brilliant goals from the left side of the pitch . Never afraid to use his pace to beat his man on the outside.

Striker - Marc McNulty

Complete striker who could turn a half chance into a goal more times than most.

Striker - Michael Mifsud

Bags and bags of pace with a deadly finish to top it off!
