GALLERY: 2019/20 Season So Far - March

21 April 2020

It was unfortunately a curtailed month of March for Coventry City, football and sport, as public health was rightly put ahead of fixtures and a suspension of fixtures announced on 13th March.

The month started well for the Sky Blues - on 1st March, a 1-0 televised win over Sunderland was secured thanks to Matty Godden's goal. That result pushed City up to the top of the League One table.

Mark Robins' side followed that result up with a 1-0 win at Ipswich Town, Godden again amongst the goals. Results elsewhere meant the Sky Blues went 5 points clear at the summit of the table at 5pm on Saturday 7th March, with a game in hand.

That is where they remain, over a month on with no more games played.

The announcement on Friday 13th March at 11am, the day before City were scheduled to host Shrewsbury Town, saw the suspension of football - initially until 3rd April, and now until it is safe to resime.

We all look forward to the resumption of football, once the time is right.
