CLASSIC GAME: Final game at Highfield Road to be streamed this Saturday afternoon

24 April 2020

Coventry City's final game at Highfield Road will be streamed this Saturday at 3pm on YouTube.

The 6-2 win over Derby County was the final game playing at the Sky Blues' home from 1899 to 2005.

Played on 30th April 2005, we've chosen this game as we approach the 15th anniversary of the fixture.

With a threat of relegation still looming, a win for City would guarantee survival and Highfield Road was sold-out for this historic fixture.

Visit our Youtube channel here.

You can also watch the feed below, which will begin streaming at 3pm on Saturday...

You will be able to chat with other City fans as the games goes on too when viewing on the Youtube website.

The footage we have is not HD, and single camera footage only recorded from the Main Stand gantry.

There is no commentary on the footage, so you can soak up the atmopshere.

We have added in-game graphics to the footage, plus replays of all of the goals.

Included in the video is the post-match celebrations as the Sky Blues Army say their goodbye to Highfield Road.*

We'll be covering the game on our official Twitter too, so join us on Saturday afternoon as we revisit the historic occasion.

If you can't join us on Saturday, the game will remain available to watch on Youtube along with all of our other classic games.

* Please note - a two-minute part of the post-match section has had to be muted for copyright reasons due to Twist and Shout being played on the tannoy at the time.
