LOAN WATCH: Joe Newton Helps Send Royston Into FA Cup Third Round Qualifying

Joe Newton was on the scoresheet this weekend, as he helped to fire Royston Town into the hat for the FA Cup Third Round Qualifying draw.

Newton started for Royston and played the full 90 minutes in the away clash against Balham, as an eventful game saw Newton's side fall behind twice in the game.

However, after fighting back, Royston were able to come out on top in a 5-3 win away from home and book their place in today's FA Cup draw.

Unfortunately, there wouldn't be the same result for Tom Billson and Barwell, as they were on the wrong end of another goal fest in the FA Cup.

Barwell came up short against Hednesford Town, suffering a 3-2 defeat and ultimately exiting the competition.

Earlier last week, Corey Addai made his debut for new loan side Redditch United, but it would be one to forget, as his new side slumped to a 3-2 defeat.

Elsewhere, after securing their first win of the season last weekend, Scunthorpe United and Junior Brown came away empty handed against Walsall.

The Saddlers secured a 1-0 victory, in which Junior started the game, but was substituted late on as the Iron looked to find a leveller.

Finally, Jordan Ponticelli and Jordon Thompson were unused substitutes for their respective loan clubs, Tranmere Rovers and Boreham Wood.
