8 October 2019

Sky Blues captain Liam Kelly makes his first start in over five weeks in tonight's Trophy clash against Forest Green Rovers.

The midfielder suffered an injury against Oxford United at the end of August and has made one appearance off the bench since, in last weekend's defeat to Rotherham United.

Kelly is one of ten changes to the side from the trip to the New York Stadium on Saturday, with just Kyle McFadzean starting from that side.

In goal, Ben Wilson comes into the side and he has a back four of Tennai Watson, McFadzean, Michael Rose and Sam McCallum in front of him.

Captaining the side on his return, Kelly is joined in midfield alongside Zain Westbrooke and Josh Eccles.

In attack, Amadou Bakayoko will lead the line with Charlie Wakefield and Will Bapaga on either flank.

Sky Blues Xl: Ben Wilson (GK), Tennai Watson, Kyle McFadzean, Michael Rose, Sam McCallum, Josh Eccles, Liam Kelly (C), Zain Westbrooke, Charlie Wakefield, Will Bapaga, Amadou Bakayoko.

Subs: Marko Marosi (GK), Dom Hyam, Fankaty Dabo, Callum O'Hare, Liam Walsh, Gervane Kastaneer, Matty Godden.
