NEWS: Half Marathon taking place in Birmingham on Sunday

10 October 2019

The Birmingham Half Marathon will be taking place on the same day as Coventry City host Tranmere Rovers at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium.

There will be no road closures related to the event in the vicinity of St Andrew’s, but there are road closures in the Centre and South of Birmingham.

These road closures do not directly affect the A45 nor M6/Aston Expressway routes to St Andrew’s, but there may be added congestion in roads around Birmingham as a knock on effect.

The Half Marathon starts from 10:30am, with most participants expected to have completed the Half Marathon by full time of the Sky Blues match - which is a Midday kick-off.

Details of the road closures can be seen on the PDF here, and a map can be seen here.

In other news, the usual 1 hour road closure to Coventry Road/Cattell Road which applies on matchdays has been reduced to 30 minutes for the game against Tranmere Rovers.
