LOAN WATCH: Latest From The Sky Blues Out On Loan

Junior Brown and Scunthorpe come away with a point...

28 October 2019

It has been a quiet week for the Sky Blues loanees this time around, with full back Junior Brown the only man in action in this weekend’s fixtures.

Brown started on the left side of defence as his Scunthorpe side came away with a hard-earned point against newly promoted Salford City. Kevin Van Veen gave Scunthorpe the lead on 34 minutes, before former Iron defender Cameron Burgess levelled up the score before half time.

The point leaves Scunthorpe four points clear of the relegation zone in 22nd place after 16 games, as their upturn in from continues after a run of just one defeat in their last seven fixtures.

Elsewhere, Dexter Walters and Callum Maycock weren’t in action after Leamington’s game was postponed. Forward Jordan Ponticelli and Tranmere’s game was also postponed this weekend due to a waterlogged pitch.

Finally, young defender Jordon Thompson was an unused substitute in Boreham Wood’s 0-2 defeat at home to AFC Fylde.
