COMMUNITY: SBitC PL Kicks participant’s journey from ‘at risk’ to going on to University!

Premier League Kicks (PL Kicks) is one of the Premier League’s flagship community programme, funded through the Premier League Charitable Fund.

Offering young people aged 8 – 19 to participate across Coventry in a wide variety of sports and educational and personal workshops within four key identified priority areas (Wood End, Foleshill, St Michaels and Upper Stoke).

In the 2018/19 year, the Premier League Kicks project in Coventry saw over 800 young people attend one of many weekly sessions delivered as part of the project.

As part of the 2018 – 19 PL Kicks project year, a case study captured Enoch’s journey through his time in the PL Kicks project from a very young age.

Enoch tells of his experiences of being in and around gang and youth violence, to making the positive choice to move away these activities and go onto work and studying at university.
