Coach prices for Coventry City’s home games at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium are being revised.
Initially set at a subsidised level of £5 per person, the difficult decision has been taken to increase prices to £7 with immediate effect.
Prices are still subsidised, however due to costs of travel and supporters now making their own arrangements to get to St Andrew’s, the price has had to be adjusted.
Coach travel is still available at ccfctravel.co.uk, and those fans who have bought seasonal coach travel are unaffected by the £2 increase.
Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said:
“It is with regret that we announce the £2 increase. We have kept this at the lowest level we could, and continue to subsidise the cost of this travel option for fans.
“We have found that while the service provided by EST is a very good one and a convenient option for fans, many supporters have found making their own way to St Andrew’s an easy and convenient option too – whether it is the cheap parking options, or the good road and rail links.
“As always, we are grateful to those who travel over to St Andrew’s, however they do so, and will continue to evaluate the coach and general travel situation for as long as it is necessary.”
