The Sky Blues Under-23s made it back to back wins in the Professional Development League, with three points over Colchester United.
City fielded a strong side which consisted of several first team players, and they were on the scoresheet at the Alan Higgs Centre, with Jamie Allen, Max Biamou and Gervane Kastaneer all on target.
The Sky Blues were however reduced to ten men when Morgan Williams was shown a straight red for a challenge just outside the area.
The win moves City up into second in the Southern section, five points behind table toppers Watford, with two games in hand.
