On This Day in 2018, Coventry City won promotion to League One!
On an unforgettable day and in blistering heat, the Sky Blues were 3-1 winners in the League Two Play-Off Final against Exeter City at Wembley Stadium.
Jordan Willis opened the scoring with a stunning curling shot into the top corner, before Jordan Shipley doubled the lead for Mark Robins' side. Jack Grimmer made it three when his shot from outside the box found the top corner, before Exeter pulled one back late on - but City saw out the game in front of 37,000 of the Sky Blue Army to seal an instant return to League One - and a first promotion for 51 years.
