Wrexham continued to remain at the top of the National League after picking up three points against Chesterfield this past weekend.

Stuart Beavon started the game from the off and was brought off after 66 minutes, moments after the Dragons had taken the lead.

The 1-0 win at the Racecourse Ground ensures Bryan Hughes’ side remain two points clear of Solihull Moors.

In the Scottish Premiership and there was no weekend fixture for Hamilton Academical, but they did play midweek under the lights.

Accies travelled to Aberdeen and pulled off a superb 2-0 win and dragged themselves above Dundee in the table and opened a three-point gap.

Tony Andreu played for 93 minutes, before he was brought off in injury time to a standing ovation from the travelling supporters.

To Sky Bet League Two and Macclesfield Town fell to a 3-0 defeat against promotion chasing Bury at Gigg Lane.

Callum Maycock featured for 86 minutes until he was brought off by Sol Campbell. Defeat means the Silkmen are now four points adrift in their battle to avoid the drop.

Elsewhere, in the National League South, Reise Allassani and Woking missed the opportunity to close the gap on Torquay United at the top of the table.

They could only manage a 1-1 draw away at Hungerford Town, with Allassani being introduced to the game with the scores level in the 64th minute.

Finally, Bouwe Bosma didn’t feature for Salisbury in their 4-1 away win against Wimborne Town.
