Sky Blues midfielder, Tom Bayliss believes he is beginning to rediscover his form after some impressive performances.

In an honest interview earlier today, Bayliss admitted it took him a while to settle into League One but believes in recent weeks he has starting to grow in confidence.

Tom was a mainstay in the Sky Blues eleven after making his debut last season and now he is looking to kick on again and help push City up the table.

He said: “It is a high level but I’m enjoying it.

“It took me a little while to get going, but now I feel I am kicking on and I can feel that in my performances.

“It is a higher level and it did take me a few games to get used to the level, I think that is normal.

“I had a really good season last year and it was my breakthrough season, but it was just finding my feet again and going back to what I know I can do and in recent weeks and I feel I have proved I can compete at this level and be better than some players at this level.

“I enjoy the pressure because I want to perform well for myself and for the team, so it is just like a normal feeling now.”

In recent weeks, City have begun to turn performances into results, having been coming out of games without results.

Mark Robins’ side are now four games unbeaten in League One and this weekend they face Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium.

Bayliss is looking forward to the game tomorrow afternoon against John Coleman’s side and is focusing on picking up as many points as possible from now until the end of the season.

“I think we are a confidence-based squad, so when we play at the levels, we know we can then we can play against anyone and pick up points as you saw at the weekend.” Bayliss said.

“I watched them (Accrington) against Sunderland the other week and they were really good, and I’ve never been to Accrington so I don’t know what it will be like.

“We are looking forward to the game, we know what they are going to be like and hopefully we can bring our own game.

“If we play well and pick up points we don’t know where it can take us but we are just trying to accumulate as many points as possible going into the end of the season.”
