Coventry City can confirm that the matchday Family Zone will continue to take place next season!
The Family Zone, run by a dedicated group of fan volunteers alongside the Club, has been a regular and hugely popular part of matchdays for Sky Blues fans young and old for over ten years now.
While the groundshare at St Andrew’s is not what the Club or fans and our volunteers wanted to happen, we are determined to provide as best an experience as we are able to during this time for our young supporters.
Therefore our Family Zone will return!
Activities such as arts and crafts, our range of games, the opportunity to write to and to meet players, competitions and much more will all take place next season. Details for individual matches will be confirmed in the build-up to each game.
The Family Zone will take place from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on Saturday matchdays in the Kiosk 14 area of the Kop Stand. This will be accessed externally via Entrance Gates 7/8. Fans will then need to exit the area and use the Kop Stand turnstiles to access their seats for the game.
Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said: “We’re delighted to confirm that the Family Zone will be back next season.
“A huge amount of credit has to go to Pat Raybould and all of the team of dedicated volunteers who will continue to provide the Family Zone activities at St Andrew’s. They and the Family Zone are integral to Coventry City home matchdays, regardless of where we are playing.
“We were determined to provide a space for these activities to happen at St Andrew’s, and look forward to seeing it full of Sky Blues supporters enjoying their matchdays.”
