INTERVIEW: Manager Mark Robins on the first day of the Pre-Season Tour

8 July 2019

Manager Mark Robins reflected on a good first day on the pre-season tour for his squad.

The Sky Blues squad landed in Spain late on Sunday evening, heading to the training pitches for the first time on Monday morning and then again on Monday evening.

“We had a good session this morning” said the Manager.

“There was a lot of hard work. Thankfully the weather wasn’t too warm for us, in fact there was a bit of rain this morning, which was good because it helped to freshen us up because we had a long day travelling on Sunday.

“The place we are staying in is excellent for us, we’ve been here before, and it has all of the facilities we need and the food is really good which helps with the players recovery.

“We had another session this evening and finished around ten to 8 after a session in the pool, so it’s been a busy day.”

After the news the Sky Blues have passed 2000 Season Tickets sold for next season, and that the Early Bird period has been extended by two weeks, Robins expressed his gratitude to all of the supporters who have purchased their Season Ticket so far.

“I’d like to thank everyone who has bought a Season Ticket so far, it’s great support and commitment, and I hope that many more supporters will get one and come along to support us at St Andrew’s.”
