We are pleased to confirm the signing of defender Declan Drysdale on a two-and-a-half year deal.
The Sky Blues have agreed compensation with Tranmere Rovers and the centre-back has completed his move to Coventry City.
Declan has made two appearances for Rovers, making his debut at 17 in the National League, as well as featuring last season in Tranmere’s promotion to League Two.
The 19 year-old, is predominantly a centre-back and will link-up with Jason Farndon’s Under-23 side.
Talking about the signing of Drysdale, Jason had this to say:
“We are delighted to finally secure the services of Declan, he was someone we identified in the summer and tried to sign before.
“He is a big, ball playing centre-back and after weeks of talks, we are glad to finally get the deal over the line.
“Declan has only just turned 19 and is definitely one for the future and we are looking forward to working with him and continuing his development.”
